Team Donation from RYR Endurance Race Weekend 2025

In the second year of the RYR Endurance Race Weekend, we were thrilled to make a sizable donation to the Wendell Foster Center from the proceeds in memory of Georgia Claire Powell.  With a full year of planning and positive feedback from our inaugural weekend, the second edition of the RYR Endurance Race Weekend this year was a huge success.  Participation increased from 134 in 2024 to 234 in 2025 – a 75% increase.  Athletes from 18 states and Northern Ireland came to our beautiful community for a great cause.

We heard of many personal bests from participants.  With our marathon course being certified, 3 runners met the stringent Boston Marathon qualifying standards.

This year, thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and participants, we donated $13,567 to the WFC in memory of Georgia Claire Powell.

We also thank the County and City Parks departments for providing a wonderful venue for our races.  

We thank all of our volunteers – nearly 70. It takes a lot of volunteers to host six races from the 5K up to the 50K ultramarathon. Athlete feedback has been very positive. The highest praise has been toward our great volunteers.

We thank the Powell family for allowing us to honor Georgia Claire with our races.
